New Parking Payment System at Thieves Lane Car Park

November 29, 2024

Panshanger Park is introducing a new parking payment system at Thieves Lane Car Park starting mid-December, managed by National Parking Control (NPC). This system is designed to streamline parking payments, allowing visitors to pay conveniently online or by phone while ensuring the Panshanger Park ranger team can dedicate more time to preserving the park’s stunning landscapes for the benefit of both wildlife and visitors.

The easiest way to pay is using the RingGo app. Simply enter the location code for Thieves Lane Car Park which is ‘39759’ and follow the steps. Alternatively, visitors can pay by calling 020 3046 0060. Payment must be made upon arrival at the car park and will apply every day from 8am to 6pm.

Michael Charlton, estate manager at Panshanger Park said: “This new system is a step forward in enhancing the visitor experience while enabling us to focus on maintaining the beauty and biodiversity of Panshanger Park. It’s all about making it easier for people to enjoy this special place responsibly.”

New Parking Rates
The following parking rates have been introduced and will remain affordable:
• Up to 1 hour: £1.50
• 1–4 hours: £2.50
• Over 4 hours: £4.00

Blue badge holders can still park for free, and charges will apply to motorbikes and scooters. The new system will start mid-December and information on the new payment methods will be clearly sign posted in the car park. The exact start date will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we make this positive change to improve your experience at Panshanger Park.
