As the Tarmac office wound down for Christmas, we hosted our annual Christmas celebration and volunteer thank you.

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, in partnership with Tarmac, has appointed Murray Brown to help the local community get the most out of Panshanger Park’s special landscape and its wildlife.

Visitors to the award winning site can now enjoy a new circular walk which takes in the famous Great Oak.

Tarmac receive the highly coveted Cooper-Heyman Cup at the Mineral Product Association’s (MPA) Restoration & Biodiversity Awards in London.

Panshanger Park’s famer, Geoff Wiltshire was called just after 11am yesterday morning (Thursday 14th September) to reports that an Alsatian had attacked one of the 150 sheep grazing in the field between the car park and the Keeper’s Cottage.

We are pleased to say we are moving forward with a programme of park improvements over the autumn and winter months.

Fourteen horse riders have enjoyed the park’s stunning landscape from the seat of their saddle as temporary parking facilities were set up to make it easier to park horse boxes.

Around 3,000 people visited Tarmac’s Panshanger Park at the end of July for the annual Festival of Wildlife to celebrate the rich diversity found in Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

Now is the ideal time to visit Tarmac’s Panshanger Park to experience the Rifle Butts meadow in full flower.

The Tarmac team enjoyed meeting members of the community and engaging in lots of fun activities at the 131st Hertfordshire County Show, held at The Showground in Redbourn on the 27th and 28th of May.
