Panshanger Park is 1,000 acres of countryside situated between Welwyn Garden City and Hertford. Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust is working with the park's owners, Tarmac, and Herts County Council to manage the park for both people and wildlife.

Planting of a new jubilee woodland is soon to begin at Panshanger Park, with members of the local community being given the opportunity to show their respects by planting trees in memoriam to honour Her Majesty the Queen.

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust have undertaken a programme of conservation work to help restore two hectares of rare heathland habitat at Hertford Heath nature reserve thanks to a grant from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund. 

Join us on Sunday 26th June for a charity walk in the park organised by the Rotary Club of Hertford with support from Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and Tarmac.

Tarmac is proud to announce plans to plant 17,000 trees at Panshanger Park, creating a new woodland as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Panshanger’s magnificent herd of English Longhorn Cattle will soon be returning to the park.
