Leading ecologists have identified Panshanger Park in Hertfordshire as one of the most important habitats for a group of beetles in the UK, including recording a significant number of rare species. 

Members of the Enfield Chace Hunt Pony Club were able to enjoy a summertime ride around the sights of Panshanger Park.

As the summer season progresses it’s a good time of year to be looking for dragonflies and damselflies. Why not head down to Panshanger Park for some great spotting opportunities?

Panshanger Park has been named a dragonfly hotspot by the British Dragonfly Society (BDS) due to its thriving dragonfly population.

Runners from Hertfordshire laced up their running shoes for the inaugural Welwyn 10k to take place at Panshanger Park.

Summer has now arrived, and these warmer temperatures really kick started the growth of our summer flowering plants.

Whilst exhibiting at this year's Hertfordshire County Show, Tarmac took the opportunity to recognise the hard-working Panshanger Park volunteers who work year-round to help make the park a success.

Spring is well underway now, as young animals are starting to take their first few steps, hops or flaps in the world, and the leaves on the trees are very nearly all out. Panshanger Park is looking particularly vivacious with the fresh, vibrant green that this time of year brings.

As usual the UK weather has been keeping us on our toes with tantalising glimpses of spring sunshine, and then hailstorms and gales! However, our local green spaces are now well on track with the growing season.
